3.3V 1A, Low EMI, 92% Efficiency DC/DC Module in Single Layer TO-247 Form Factor Reference Design (TIDA-00949)

The TI Design TIDA-00949 demonstrates a 15mmx20mm, 92% efficiency, low electromagnetic interference (EMI) DC/DC module with the TPS54202, replacing Low DropOut Regulator (LDO) in major home appliance applications. The high efficiency eliminates the need of heat sink for smaller and cheaper solution. The higher current capability enables additional feature to be added (WiFi, sensors, etc ). The high efficiency and low current consumption help achieving stringent energy rating.
