This USB 3.0 charger provides 5V @ 2.1A over an automotive input range of 8V - 40V. It uses the integrated FET TPS54340 PWM Buck controller and implements cable voltage droop compensation. A TPS2546 charging port controller provides data line switching plus an integrated FET with dual current protection thresholds.

The PMP10604 reference design is a 2-layer board 5V, 3A output power supply using LM53603 buck regulator for cluster unit in automotive applications. The LM53603 is a 3.5V to 36V input, 3A output capable, and 2.1 MHz fixed frequency buck regulator, specially designed for automotive applications. It has exceptionally low quiescent current (24µA typical at no load), and can transit to PFM from PWM to ensure high efficiency at light load. For this reference design, it has an input voltage range of 7.5V to 36V, covering the wide variation conditions of the 12V battery in automotive space. The reference board includes an input EMI filter section, and the layout is optimized for improved EMI performance on a 2-layers PCB. The board was tested under the automotive EMC standard, CISPR 25, and the conducted emissions were in compliance with the CISPR 25 Class 5 requirements.

PMP10652 is a System optimized (CISPR 25 Class 3) 30W design for Surround View ADAS system. The design has various protections such as Load dump through TVS (ISO pulse testing), Reverse Voltage (Innovative Smart diode with very low Iq), Battery Disconnect Switch with OVP protection (PFET) and is EMI optimized to meet Conductive EMI limits of CISPR25 Class3 (overall) and Class5 upto 30MHz Range. Input voltage range is between 4.5V to 30V with OVP at 20V and hence will operate in most Cold Cranking conditions. LM74610 is used for Battery reverse protection which utilizes a charge pump to drive an N-channel FET to provide a resistive path for the bypass current to flow. LM53603Q1 is used as front end DC/DC Buck converter which is 2.2MHz switching, Synchronous rectified Wide Vin Buck Converter which can take transient upto 42V. TPS57114Q1 is used to provide power to the cores and it is a high current 2,2MHz switching buck converter. LM26420 is a dual 2.2MHz switching buck converter which is used for generating other required supplies. LM3880 sequencer is used for all the power up and power down sequencing requirements.

This reference design implements a video over LVDS solution for automotive infotainment applications.It highlights the support of multi-touch with haptic feedback, LCD backlight control, and ambient light sensing, without the introduction of dedicated support lines back to the host processor. This design is implemented using two boards. The main electronics board, SAT0059 is where the deserializer, microProcessor, backlight controller, haptics drivers and power supply are located. The LCD interface board, SAT0096, is a physical and electrical interface to a specific LCD panel. It connects to the SAT0059 through a Samtec board to board connector and provides connection points for the LCD panel, touchscreen, backlight connections and haptic drivers. The SAT0096 is designed for a Microtips UMSH-8596MD-20T display. If a different display is to be used, a new LCD Interface board would likely need to be designed.

The TIDA-00573 reference design provides a Class D based amplifier solution that allows it to be evaluated in the form factor of a typical Class AB amplifier. The design is optimized to mitigate thermals associated with audio amplifiers and to minimize switching noises associated with Class D amplifiers. This design is comprised of two parts. The 1st highlights the audio amplifier module while the 2nd highlights the circuitry needed to incorporate it into a base board. The pair of boards allows stand-alone performance testing of the design.

TIDA-00746 is a 17W system-optimized SMPS design for automotive infotainment processor power. The design has been tested for and passed CISPR25 Class 5 conducted EMI limits. All buck converters used in this design is switching above AM band (>1.85MHz). The design is divided into four major blocks: Front end protection: Various protections have been implemented, such as those against positive and negative pulses (ISO7630 Pulse 1, 2a, 3a/b) through TVS, reverse terminal protection through innovative smart diode (LM74610), and battery disconnect switch with OVP protection (PFET). EMI filter: a common mode and a differential filter for conducted EMI suppression. Low EMI front end DC/DC converter: LM53635-Q1 is a switching, synchronous 3.5A buck regulator and is used as a front end DC/DC converter in this design. This 2.1 MHz part is automotive optimized and has low EMI. Apart from the spread spectrum option, the device comes in an automotive-qualified Hotrod(TM) QFN package with wettable flanks, which reduces parasitic inductance and resistance while increasing efficiency, minimizing switch node ringing, and dramatically lowering EMI. Downstream POL buck converters such as, LM26420-Q1 (Integrated dual buck), TPS57114-Q1, and TPS57112-Q1: all POL switchers used in the design switch above AM band. For high frequency noise-sensitive rails, a ferrite bead filter is used.

В нём используется повышающе-понижающий DC/DC-регулятор TPS43330A-Q1, который поддерживает входное напряжение с диапазоном от 2 В до 40 В и которой позволяет поддерживать не только работу системы «старт-стоп», но и холодный запуск двигателя. Интегрированная микросхема управления питанием TPS659039-Q1 способна питать такие специализированные процессоры, как TDA2x/DRA7xx, в режиме point-of-load. Также в проект входят переключатель нагрузки на 5 В/ 4 А TPS22965-Q1 и линейный регулятор TPS51200-Q1 для терминирования питания DDR.

The TIDA-00804 reference design is a low-cost discrete power solution for the i.MX6Q quad core application processor. All the DCDC regulators operate at frequencies above the AM radio broadcast band to avoid interference with the radio and to provide a small solution size due to smaller filter components. The first stage DC-DC converter can support a voltage input range of 6V to 42V, allowing the design to support start-stop operation as well as load dump. The second stage DC-DC converters provide all the necessary power rails to power the i.MX6Q. No power sequencer is necessary for this design. The PWB is a 4 layer board with 2 oz. copper to provide good power dissipation at 85 C ambient.

Customers can accelerate their media port systems by taking advantage of a complete reference design comprised of analog AEC-Q100 qualified integrated circuits (ICs) that are CISPR 25 Class 5 tested. This design creates a robust, flexible solution which allows the system to charge both USB Type-C and legacy devices all within a small 1in x 2.5in solution.
