Описание:
This reference design delivers a low cost LCD bias power circuit using the boost converter IC TPS61085. The solution provides all four voltages required by the thin film transistor (TFT) LCD display. The TPS61085 boost converter generates the AVDD voltage. Two external charge pump circuits provide the positive VGH and negative VGL bias voltage for the TFT. One external op-amp LM7321MF acts as a high current buffer; it provides the VCOM voltage for the TFT backplane.

TIDA-00119 is a complete, highly-integrated PLC analog input module front-end reference design that is designed and tested to meet IEC61000-4 standards for industrial automation systems. The design can be configured for 4 differential inputs or 8 single-ended inputs with 12-bit ADC resolution and a sample rate of up to 1MSPS. These inputs can also be programmed to take current or voltage inputs with selectable ranges. The design also includes an isolated power supply providing all necessary module voltages, input surge and ESD protection and an isolated digital data interface that can be connected to any microcontroller, FPGA or ASIC via SPI interface. Full documentation, test results, design files and necessary firmware are available to help reduce time to market.

This reference design provides a complete solution for a single supply industrial control Analog Input Module. The reference design is suitable for process control end equipment like Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control system (DCS), Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) modules that must digitize standard industrial current inputs and bipolar or unipolar input voltage ranges up to ±10V. In an industrial environment the analog voltage and current ranges typically include ±2.5 V, ±5 V, ±10 V, 0 V to 5 V, 0 V to 10 V, 4 mA to 20 mA, and 0 mA to 20 mA. This reference design can measure all standard industrial voltage and current inputs. Eight channels are provided on the module and each channel can be configured as a current or voltage input with software configuration. The SAR based architecture of ADS8688 leverages better sampling rate. The ADS8688 also includes an on-chip PGA. The on-chip PGAs are used to provide gain and level shift the bipolar signals. The ISO7141 & ISO1541D provides digital signal isolation between host microcontroller and measurement side. The power isolation has been achieved using LM5017 based Flybuck transformer. The module has on-board EEPROM to store calibration data and module configuration data. This reference design also demonstrate the TI products like hot swap & in-rush current limit controller, isolated Flybuck controller, low noise LDO, and I2C to GPIO expander that can be used in the entire PLC signal processing chain. The module has been designed to be pluggable to the IO Controller (TIDA-00123) for quick testing & evaluation. The module reference design also includes external protection circuit and has been tested and verified to be compliant with IEC61000-4 standards – EFT, ESD and Surge requirements with IO Controller platform.

The TIDA-00661 reference design features signal processing front-end subsystem for electronic trip units (ETU) used in air circuit breakers (ACB) or molded case circuit breakers (MCCB). This subsystem consists of Delta-Sigma ADC with 24-Bit resolution and fast startup (< 3ms), ±2.5V regulator, FRAM-based microcontroller (MCU) for interfacing to ADC and processing the inputs. The subsystem is designed to start-up, compute full-cycle RMS current, make decisions, and provide trip signal to the solenoid within 30 ms.

The TIDA-00738 TI design demonstrates a unique approach for extending the current measurement range using a single shunt and voltage measurement using AMC1304Mx5 Isolated Delta-Sigma (ΔΣ) modulator. With careful selection of a low value shunt resistor that minimizes power dissipation, a front end amplifier with low noise and by introducing two gain paths, both upper and lower current limit is extended. Accuracy of < ±0.5 % for both current and voltage measurement is achieved by interfacing the modulator output to AM437x host processor which performs the Sinc3 filtering.

The TIDA-00809 TI design showcases a cost optimized architecture that improves resolution of a binary input module. A microcontroller unit (MCU) is shared between two input channels (group isolation) to minimize the cost per channel. Wide input range is covered using an amplifier with gain and a MCU integrated 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to measure with in ±3% accuracy. This architecture eliminates the need for multiple hardware versions based on input voltage range as is the case with an opto-coupler based topology. A digital isolator is used to communicate the ADC code or the root-mean-square estimate of the input to the host processor. The design is tested for ESD, EFT and Surge as per IEC61000-4 Level 4.

The TIDA-00810 reference design accurately measures analog inputs performance and includes chip diagnostics to help identify power systems failures early by using a highly accuracy AC voltage and current measurement analog front end (AFE) and a four-channel, 24-bit simultaneously-sampling differential input Delta-Sigma ADC for measurement over wide dynamic range. The ADC is configured to measure 0-5 V unipolar. The inputs are scaled to ADC measurement range using a fixed gain amplifier with 2.5 V DC output level shift. The AFE can be used to measure output of a current transformer, potential divider with analog isolation and Rogowski active integrator. The AFE uses 10-Bit low resolution successive approximation register (SAR) ADC in parallel with a 24 bit ∑-∆ ADC for ADS131A04 diagnostics.

This reference design implements a solution for high-reliability, low-latency network communications for substation automation equipment in Smart Grid transmission and distribution networks. It supports the high-availability seamless redundancy (HSR) specification in the IEC 62439 standard. This solution is a lower-cost alternative to FPGA approaches and provides the flexibility and performance to add features such as IEC 61850 support without additional components. This solution, based upon the Linux High-Level Operating System, may also apply to other markets that need minimum-latency reliability on Ethernet networks such as Factory Automation, Transportations, and others.

A low cost, simplified implementation of an IEC 61850 Substation Bay Controller is demonstrated by running the Triangle MicroWorks IEC 61850 stack efficiently on the TI AM335X platform with a Linux target layer definition. Many different substation automation applications can be built on top of the AM335X platform and 61850 stack demonstration.

TI provides the system solution for Industrial Communication on Sitara™ processors with Programmable Real-Time Unit and Industrial Communication Subsystem (PRU-ICSS). This TI Design describes the integrated multi-protocol digital position encoder master interface support. The supported digital position encoder master protocols are EnDat 2.2, Hiperface DSL ® and BiSS C. The integrated multi-protocol encoder master has the benefit to work without additional field programmable gate array (FPGA), application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) and programmable logic device (PLD) while support multiple of the encoder protocols - therefore it saves cost and reduces board space. This reference design utilizes the Single Chip Drive Evaluation Board (TMDSIDK437X ) and Universal Digital Interface to Absolute Position Encoders Reference Design (TIDA-00179).

The TIDEP0074 referencedesign demonstrates packet switching and filtering logic implemented in the M4 core of AM572x based upon the Ethertype, MAC address and Application ID (APPID) of GOOSE packets received from the PRU-ICSS. Packets are filtered and routed to destinations in order to allow the time-critical events defined in substation communication standard IEC 61580 to be serviced in a dedicated core. The design additionally shows multi-core communication between the ARM Cortex™-A15, Cortex™-M4 and DSP C66x™ cores of the AM572x while Linux runs on the A15s and TI-RTOS runs on the M4 and DSP cores.
